Integration of Joomla! with SMTP EmailLabs

Joomla! is an advanced, open-source content management system (CMS) that is ideal for creating, organizing, and publishing content on websites. One of the main advantages of Joomla! is the ability to integrate with numerous plugins, which allows for easier communication with website visitors via email messages. This is a particularly useful tool for building relationships with users. Unfortunately, emails originating from popular systems like Joomla! or WordPress do not always reach their intended recipients.

Integration of Joomla! system with EmailLabs significantly increases the effectiveness of email delivery, improving deliverability and providing additional benefits. Below you will find detailed steps that will guide you through the integration process.

Finding SMTP data in EmailLabs

The data needed for integration via SMTP can be found in the EmailLabs panel in the section: Email API -> Settings -> SMTP Accounts.

Logging into the administration panel

  • Log in to Joomla! administration panel.

  • Click System at the top of the panel, and then Global Configuration.

  • In the side menu, select the Server tab.

Entering SMTP data

In the Mail tab, perform the following steps:

  • Send mail: select „Yes”.

  • Disable Mass Mail: select „No”.

  • From Email: enter the "from" email address that will be used to send your messages.

  • From Name: enter your sender’s name.

  • Reply to Email: choose the email address to which your clients can respond.

  • Reply to Name: choose the name shown in the ‘Reply-to’ field.

  • Mailer: select "SMTP".

  • SMTP host: smtp.emaillabs.net.pl.

  • SMTP port: enter one of the suggested SMTP ports – 587 or 465.

  • SMTP Security: select "TLS" with port 587 or "SSL" with port 465.

  • SMTP Authentication: select „Yes”.

  • SMTP Username: Enter your SMTP account name in EmailLabs in the format 1.accountname.smtp.

  • SMTP Password: SMTP password set in the EmailLabs panel.

Testing and Saving the Configuration

Click Send Test Mail to test the configuration. If the message is not delivered, check the correctness of the entered data and the error logs in Joomla!.

After the correct configuration, Joomla! will use the EmailLabs infrastructure to send emails, which will increase their effectiveness and deliverability.
