# Overview

**The SMS section** in the panel is a comprehensive tool for managing SMS communication. It includes various features that enable efficient planning, sending, monitoring of messages, and configuration of essential settings like SMS Headers (Sender ID).

Tabs in this section:

* **SMS Campaigns:** A dedicated tool for planning and executing bulk SMS campaigns with full result previews.
* **SMS API:** API integration for sending and receiving messages directly from your system.
* **Common Settings:** A section where you can configure SMS Headers (Sender ID) to personalize the sender's name and enhance recognition.
* **SMS Billing**: information on how SMS message costs are calculated, depending on the number of characters and the type of characters used (GSM-7 or Unicode), allowing for optimization of sending costs.
