In the final step of creating an SMS campaign, which is its Summary, you can activate the Booster SMS feature. For SMS campaigns, the Booster allows you to send another, specially prepared SMS message to recipients who did not click on the link contained in your main campaign.
To use the Booster feature, find the Booster SMS section in the campaign summary and toggle the switch to enable it. This feature is disabled by default.
For SMS campaigns, only the SMS type Booster is available.
Goal: To automatically send an additional SMS message to recipients who did not click on the tracked link in the main SMS campaign.
SMS Message Content:
Enter the content of the SMS message for the Booster in the dedicated field.
Content personalization and the option to add emojis are available.
Special Characters: If you use special characters in the SMS content, the system will behave analogously to the first step of the SMS campaign creator β it will ask if you want to send the message with them.
SMS Header (Sender ID):
Select the header (sender) to be used for your Booster SMS campaign from the list of available headers. The header is not automatically copied from the main campaign.
Tracked Link:
You can (and it is usually crucial for this feature) insert a tracked link into the content of the Booster SMS.
Booster Sending Condition:
Sending Time: Specify how long after the main SMS campaign dispatch has finished the Booster should be sent. You can choose a period from a minimum of 2 hours to a maximum of 7 days.
Recipient Selection Critera: The Booster SMS will only be sent to individuals who did not click on the tracked link placed in the main SMS campaign.
Limitations and Unavailable Options: The SMS Booster feature will be blocked (grayed out) and impossible to activate if:
No tracked link generated by the EmailLabs system was used in the content of the main SMS campaign, or a link with your own, external suffix was used. The Booster relies on system-based click tracking.
The "Single numbers" option was chosen as the recipient group for the main SMS campaign instead of a contact group. In both cases, the system will display relevant information.
Throughput: The throughput for the Booster SMS campaign is always set to the default value.
Recipient group contains 0 contacts: If the recipient group selected for the main campaign contains no contacts, the Booster function will be blocked. The following annotation will be displayed:
The system automatically filters recipients for the Booster campaign based on their message statuses in the main campaign:
The Booster SMS will never be sent to contacts who received the following statuses in the main SMS campaign:
WAITING (awaiting dispatch/delivery report).
ERROR (message delivery error).
The Booster SMS will be sent to the remaining contacts (e.g., with OK status - delivered) who met the condition (did not click the link in the main campaign).
