A/B Campaign Email Builder

PreviousBooster Configuration in E-mail CampaignNextDesigning Emails Using the Drag-and-Drop Editor

Last updated 1 day ago

After clicking Create A/B campaign, you will be guided through the following steps:

1

A/B Settings

In this section, you configure the parameters for the A/B test:

  • Select element to test: Specify which element of the message you want to test in different variations:

    • Subject: Test different versions of the message subject to see which one generates the most opens.

    • Sender: Test different sender names or email addresses to see which ones build more trust and encourage opening.

    • Email creation: Test different versions of the message content, element layout, calls to action (CTAs), etc., to optimize click-through rates and conversions.

  • Select the number of variants: Choose the number of variations you want to test for the selected element (2, 3, 4, or 5). You will be able to define different content for each variation later.

  • Select the percentage of recipients of the winning campaign: Specify what percentage of your recipient list will receive the winning version of the campaign after the test is complete (from 10% to 90%). The remaining percentage of recipients will be divided equally among the tested variants.

  • Define the A/B Test Winner Criteria: Choose the metric on which the winning version will be determined, as well as the test duration:

    • Based on: Select whether the winning version should be determined based on opens or clicks.

    • After (x) hours: Choose the number of hours after which the system will automatically select the winning version based on the chosen metric and send it to the remaining recipients.

After configuring the A/B settings, click Next to proceed to the next steps.

2

E-mail Creation

In this step, depending on the element you selected for testing in the A/B Settings, you will configure different variations:

  • If you are testing the Subject: Enter different versions of the message subject for each of the selected variants. You can use personalization options (e.g., recipient's name) using the appropriate tags, as well as the "Generate title" option using AI.

  • If you are testing the Sender: Choose different From addresses and From names for each of the selected variations. The sender address can be configured in the Common Settings > Sender Authorization tab.

  • If you are testing Email creation: For each of the selected variants, choose the message template that will be the basis for the tested version. You can choose from:

    • Themed templates

    • Your templates

    • Sent campaigns templates

    • Own code

More information on designing messages in the drag-and-drop editor can be found in the following instruction: .

After configuring all variations, click Next.

3

Basic Information

Fill in the key information about the campaign, which will be common for all tested variations (except for the tested element):

  • From address and From name: If not being A/B tested, select the email address and name under which the message will be sent.

  • Unsubscribe page template: Choose the unsubscribe page template.

  • Additional options:

    • Campaign name – you can modify it here.

    • Campaign description – visible only to you in the panel.

    • Progress notification (email) – enter the address to which shipping progress information will be sent.

    • Count clicks – check this option to track clicks on links.

    • Google Analytics – activate this function to track website traffic.

    • Return address – optionally define the address to which recipients can reply.

  • Add attachment: You can attach up to 5 files to the message (max. 2 MB total, .pdf format).

After entering all the data, click Next.

4

Recipients

In this section, you select the group of recipients to whom your A/B campaign will be sent. You can choose:

  • Static Groups: Select one of the previously created groups of recipients.

  • Dynamic Segments: Select a dynamic segment to reach recipients who meet specific criteria.

After selecting the group or segment, click Next.

5

Summary

Campaign Recipient Distribution: On the left side of the screen, there is a pie chart that visually represents the percentage distribution of campaign recipients among the different variations and the group of recipients who will receive the winning version. Directly below the pie chart, the number of recipients for each group is displayed.

Summary: On the right side of the screen, you will find a detailed summary containing the following information:

  • Sender – the sender's email address and name (for each variation, if tested).

  • Subject – the content of the email header (for each variation, if tested).

  • Recipients – the name of the selected recipient group.

  • Number of recipients – the number of people in the selected recipient group.

  • Sending time – the option for immediate sending or scheduling the date and time of sending.

Action Buttons

  • Send test: Allows you to send test messages (each A/B variation) to the specified email addresses. Allows you to simulate personalization.

A/B Campaign Execution

  • To send the campaign immediately, select the Send now option and then click Save and send. The A/B test will begin, and after the specified time, the winning version will be sent to the remaining recipients according to your settings.

  • To schedule the sending for a later date, select the Send with date option, then select the date and time, click the Save option (available below the calendar), and finally click Save and send. The A/B test will begin at the scheduled time.

  • If you want to save the campaign for further editing, select the Save option.
